A book-length comics based on the 1948 Japanese novel "Snow Country" by Yasunari Kawabata. It is a non-commercial side project for my personal practice and for love of the novel, as I do NOT have any adaptation right to the novel.

My motivation to make the graphic novel was cathartic. The relationship between the two protagonists, Shimamura and Komako in the original novel, I found strong resonation with in my own life -  I see my relationship with someone reflected in the novel. So I wanted to commemorate this person I cannot forget through drawing him as Shimamura in this novel. This book-length comics started in 2017 and finished in 2020.
